Overview
La Shaun K. K. Smart is a Managing Associate at Elliott-Hamilton Law. Since commencing her legal career in 2015, she has advised and represented government entities, statutory bodies, and corporate and private clients across a range of contentious and non-contentious matters.
La Shaun is committed to guiding clients through every stage of a matter, from initial instruction to resolution, with open communication, diligence, professionalism, and a practical, solution-oriented approach. She is recognised for her analytical thinking, meticulous preparation, methodical execution, sound judgement, and responsiveness.
Before joining Elliott-Hamilton Law, La Shaun served as Senior Crown Counsel in the Attorney General’s Chambers of Saint Kitts and Nevis and as Legal Counsel within the Intellectual Property Office. She also contributed to national policymaking as a member of the Financial Education and Savings Programme Task Force and the Climate Change and Action Committees for the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Outside her legal practice, La Shaun enjoys painting, interior decorating, participating in community outreach initiatives, and following a variety of sports.
